A crochet mini dress should breathe in the heat and hold its colour after a hundred wears. Most on the market are a loose hand-crochet that stretches out by August, or a print on jersey. Ours are knitted on machines: fine crochet-look cotton with the stripe worked into the yarn, cut close and finished to hold the body.
What makes a knitted crochet mini different
A real crochet mini dress earns its place on the trip. The open crochet-look stitch lets the heat out; the fine cotton knit holds a bodycon shape instead of bagging at the hips by the second wear. Because the stripe is knitted in, not printed on, the colour runs all the way through the yarn: it will not crack, fade or peel at the beach.
